VIAJAMOS DE LOS LIBROS A LA FANTASÍA AUDIOVISUAL.
Se dice que a Neil Gaiman no se le puede
encasillar, pues ha explorado y se ha des-
tacado en cualquier formato o género que
ha decidido publicar. Sin embargo, sólo
hace falta leer alguna obra suya para re-
conocerlo, pues su firma se encuentra en
sus fantasías, su imaginación prodigiosa y
su forma única de ver al mundo; atributos
acompañados de un amor inmenso por la
literatura y una atención increíble por la
estética de sus relatos.
Al escritor inglés se le ha llegado a cono-
cer a través de distintos mundos y, aunque
su nombre no fuera tan conocido hasta la
adaptación cinematográfica de Coraline
(un cuento infantil de fantasía que es tan
increíble como escalofriante), no hay duda
de que la audiencia de Gaiman ha ido cre-
ciendo a través de su carrera. Para nuestro
deleite, en los últimos años su nombre pa-
rece resurgir una y otra vez, debido a la
adaptación de su exitosa novela American
Gods a la televisión en 2017.
Este año, los fans de Gaiman vuelven
a celebrar con la promesa de una nueva
adaptación cinematográfica. Esta vez, el
fantástico mundo del autor en su novela
Buenos Presagios llegará a Amazon Prime
Video y bbc en forma de una miniserie
de seis episodios. El autor sitúa la historia
en 2018, cuando la humanidad se prepa-
ra para la inminente apocalipsis, pero un

Gaiman has kept growing throughout his career and, recently, his name keeps
popping up time and again due to the adaptation to TV in 2017 of his famous
novel “American Gods”. This year, a new film adaptation of one of his works has
his fans jumping in joy. On this occasion, the author´s fantastic world in his novel
“Good Omens” will reach Amazon Prime Video and BBC as a six-episode mini-se-
ries. The author set the story in 2019, with humanity preparing for an imminent
apocalypse when an angel and a demon join forces to sabotage the end of the
world. Gaiman´s humor and wit guarantee we will be begging for more from the
fantastical world that hides between the pages.
