Un espectáculo de color, materiales y texturas. Un derroche de imagi-
nación resultado de los trabajos expuestos por algunas de las galerías
más importantes del mundo -194 provenientes de 30 países- y una
emocionante y diversa selección de 59 nuevos expositores que refle-
jan un alcance cada vez más internacional.
The Armory Show celebra su 25 aniversario volviendo a sus raíces.
En esta edición 2019, la feria dará la bienvenida al regreso de varios
de los participantes en su edición inaugural de 1994, incluyendo 303
Galería y Zeno x. En sus primeros años, el espectáculo, entonces co-
nocido como Gramercy International Art Fair, tuvo lugar en el Gra-
mercy Hotel en Manhattan, donde las galerías alquilaban habitacio-

Con un insuperable programa de eventos de arte y exposiciones,
este año merece especial atención la sección Focus, organizada por
Lauren Haynes del Museo de Arte Americano de Crystal Bridges,
que se centrará en el arte que trata la identidad a través de la figura-
ción, un enfoque cada vez más popular. El ambiente de arte se tras-
lada de los muelles a toda la ciudad, bohemia, intelectual y siempre
efervescente Nueva York.

many of the original participants from 1994, including
303 Gallery and Zeno X. Back then, the Gramercy Inter-
national Art Fair – as it used to be called – took place at
the Manhattan Gramercy Hotel, where each gallery rent-
ed a room and exhibited its works on the beds and in the
bathtubs since nails were forbidden. In 2000, it moved
to the bigger, more formal and accommodating West
Side docks. This year, the highlight of the program of
amazing art event and exhibits is Focus, a section orga-
nized by Lauren Haynes of the Crystal Bridges Museum
of American Art and which specialize on pieces that deal
with identity through figuration, an increasingly popular
approach. After sundown, the artistic atmosphere moves
into the always bohemian, intellectual and lively New
York City. It will open to the public from March 7-10th.
