a mí misma, pero creo que soy bastante dis-
creta -afirma-. Sin duda prefiero centrarme
en mi trabajo, así que solo hablo cuando ten-
go algo que decir. Una de mis frases favoritas
es «Vive oculto y vive feliz».
2014 fue el año en el que Delphine Arnault

lvmh para Jóvenes Diseñadores de Moda,

del conglomerado y motivo de orgullo para
ella. - Tenemos la responsabilidad de ayudar
a las personas a crecer, no solo en los campos
de diseño, sino en todos los demás aspectos
del negocio. Invertimos mucho tiempo ase-
sorando a hombres y mujeres, descubriendo
talentos y haciéndolos crecer. Impulsamos en
ellos el lado creativo, enfocándonos además
en el comercial.

and focused in the leather goods and communication strategies for 12 years. That´s
where I really learned – she says. She worked at John Galliano for a year before be-
coming Dior´s Commercial Director in 2001 and has managed many other LVMH
brands, including Emilio Pucci, Loewe and Céline. Her diplomatic skills are widely
renowned. She describes her managerial style as “quite calm” – a fact born, she says,
of her need to negotiate with so many different strands of the organization – but it’s
clear that she’s all over the house. Her “surprise” visits to various global stores that
she likes to undertake on a Saturday afternoon when the shops are at their busiest
are legendary. This way of doing things is due, perhaps, to her reserved nature. – I

I’d rather focus on my work. So, I only speak when I have something to say. ‘Live

Prize for Young Fashion Designers, one of the corporation´s many philanthropic ini-
tiatives and her pride. – It´s our responsibility to help people grow, not only in the
creative field but in every aspect of the business – she explains. – We spend a lot of
time advising men and women and finding and nurturing new talents. Not only on
the creative side, but also on the commercial side. Delphine Arnault has hers and the
Group´s goals clear to lead the luxury empire. It´s hard to judge how far the Arnault
universe will expand.
