LA COMUNIDAD EMERGENTE Y CONSAGRADA DEL DISEÑO SE HA REUNIDO EN LA DESIGN
WEEK DE LA CDMX. NOS GUSTÓ EL TRABAJO DE AYRES MX, AIRES FRESCOS, AIRES SUSTENTABLES.
Su estética sorprende por básica, primaria po-
dríamos decir. Objetos sencillos, siempre úti-
les, con formas únicas que recuerdan, inten-
cionadamente, o no, utensilios prehistóricos.
Dos diseñadoras, la yucateca Joana Valdez y
la venezolana Karim Molina, se inspiran en
los paisajes mexicanos, en sus museos, en los
coloridos mercados, en las texturas de la natu-
raleza para dar vida a sus creaciones. AYRES
MX surge de esa inspiración en nuestras raíces
históricas, naturales y primitivas, destacando
la belleza de los materiales, el diseño y la cali-
dad. Desde una filosofía basada en que todos
merecemos objetos especiales que cuentan
una historia y un propósito dentro de nues-
tros espacios, se desarrolla todo el proyecto.
Diseñan y crean objetos simples, hechos a
mano con los mejores materiales y una gran
historia detrás, proponiendo un concepto de
vida simple, natural y personal. Los procesos
son completamente artesanales, lo que permi-
te que cada objeto sea una pieza única y les
encanta explorar nuevas técnicas y materiales
que buscan personalmente: madera de los
bosques de Guayacán y Tzalam, rocas de lava
y pieles naturales. Los artesanos confieren un
lado sentimental y totalmente íntimo a cada
uno de sus diseños ellos y con ellos trabajan
estrictamente bajo los términos de comercio
justo. AYRES MEX es así una marca susten-
table, que considera a los materiales como sus
protagonistas y, ante la forma, otorga mayor
peso a sus texturas, creando unas piezas bási-
cas en las que la sencillez es su mayor valor.

able airs. Its simple, basic even, aesthetic results surprising. With simple but useful
objects of unique shapes that resemble, intentionally or not, ancient tools. Its two de-
signers, Yucatan Joana Valdez and Venezuelan Karim Molina draw their inspiration
from the Mexican landscapes, museums, colorful markets and textures to give life cre-
ations such as AYRES MX. It gathers our historical roots and natural wealth to highlight
the beauty of the materials, design and quality in a philosophy that believes everyone
deserves special objects that tell a story and a purpose inside our spaces. They design
and create simple handcrafted objects made with the best materials and a rich history

to propose a simple, environmentally oriented and introspective life concept. Their
process is completely artisanal, and they love experimenting with new techniques and
materials (timber from the Guyacan and Tzalam forests, lava rocks and natural leather
for example), making a unique piece out of each object. Artisans confer a sentimental
and intimate side to each of their designs and they stick strictly to the terms of fair
trade. AYRES MX is a sustainable brand that places materials at the forefront, right
