Winter Highlights Christmas 2015 San Jacinto High Rollers The holidays are long over, but we wanted you to see how your generosity brightened up the faces of our children and teenagers during Christmas time. The stress of the season and some of the memories triggered by the holidays can be troubling to some of our kids. Thanks to our many supporters, our kids are able to keep looking forward with little chance of looking back. For many of our kids, Christmas at Boys and Girls Country is the first joyous Christmas they’ve experienced. Our Christmas festivities happen before school ends so cottage families are able to celebrate the season together. Many children leave campus to visit with their parents, guardians, or relatives during the school break. However, some of our kids do remain on campus during that time. We give full credit to you, our sponsors and volunteers, for making sure all our kids have a wonderful Christmas. Without you, our kids wouldn’t be able to participate in all these amazing events during December: InterLinc Mortgage Services, LLC The Hoo Hoos Club • InterLinc Mortgage Services, LLC employees came on campus and cooked and served a Christmas dinner to our kids, played games, and provided a gift for each child. • The Boys and Girls Country Young Professionals Group and the Over the Hill Gang cook team provided lunch and helped with cottage decorations. • At the second annual Tour of Lights event, over 150 guests took tours guided by our kids and voted on their favorite cottage light display. • The San Jacinto High Rollers Motorcycle Club Toy Run provided Christmas presents to all the kids. • The Hoo Hoos Club (a group of people in the lumber industry) hosted a Christmas party and gave gift cards to each student to purchase much needed socks and underwear. • On the Day of Wonder cottage sponsors arrived with lunch and gifts for each cottage family, giving our kids an amazing Christmas morning experience. • Angels of Light at Second Baptist Church held a special dinner for our kids at their West Campus. Church members donated gifts and groceries. • Swift Energy employees threw a fun Christmas party for our College and Career kids and gave them all presents. Your kindness and benevolence brings the Christmas spirit to life in the eyes of our kids. Thank you for all you do for our children and staff.
