Message from Co-Chairs
Chairmen’s Corner
Dear Friends,
As co-chairs for Boys and Girls Country’s 38th Annual Spring Festival, we are
excited to share some of the amazing changes coming to the event this year. In
addition to the classic midway games, craft activities for the kids, inflatable and
carnival rides, and silent and big board auctions, this year the event includes:
• A Christian music lineup featuring Switchfoot (see list of bands on page 9)
• New hours of operation; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Gated entrance with a paid admission that includes access to all games,
rides, activities, and music (see page 8 for details)
• Food booths open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (visit website for details on food)
• Food trucks arrive at 4 p.m. (visit website for details)
Spring Festival provides support for the children who rely on Boys and Girls
Country for love, safety, and the provision of their needs. We hope you’ll attend
this event and help us as we celebrate Boys and Girls Country’s 45th Anniversary.
How does your participation help our kids?
The data on kids who have grown up in “out-of-home” placements is clearly
against us. These children are statistically more likely to end up in jail (34%) than
cross a stage to receive their college degree (6%). Your investment in them and
our families has changed those odds by providing a loving Christian home, three
meals a day, clothing and shoes, personal necessities (toiletries), education,
counseling and health services. With your support, we are able to go above and
beyond these basic needs to provide the structure and love all children need to
grow into the people God intended them to be, self-sustaining and contributing
adults.
Spring Festival is a special event and it’s a chance to come to the campus and
actually meet the kids you are helping. We know from personal experience, our
kids would love to thank you in person. Come out and say hello! If you are not
able to, please use the enclosed envelope to make a donation.
Sincerely,
Bill & Celia Aimone
