Walker, Chief Executive Officer of EnerVest, Ltd., is a leader in the energy industry and in the Houston community. He has received numerous awards for his work in the oil and gas sector, and most recently was named the 2015 EY Entrepreneur of the Year. A proud Red Raider, John served on the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System. Service is a family affair for John and Lisa, his wife of 28 years, who have left a legacy of involvement in philanthropy locally and internationally. John and Lisa, who have three children and two grandchildren, have hearts for youth and for giving back, which shows in everything they do both locally and internationally. Together, John and Lisa are active in their church, where John has served on the Board of Stewards and Lisa is a sign-language interpreter for a Sunday service. John is active with the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as the Chairman of the Board and received the Distinguished Eagle in 2007. John and Lisa have left a legacy of involvement in philanthropy through their family, each of whom are active in numerous causes based in Houston and its surrounding areas. He’s the largest-selling comedy-recording artist, a multiple Grammy Award nominee, and bestselling author of more than 26 books. He hosted season three of the popular game show American Bible Challenge and was part of one of the most successful comedy tours of all time, The Blue Collar Comedy Tour. Born and raised in Atlanta, Foxworthy worked hard to be a great comedian and is still working hard. But he will tell you he is just a guy, so don’t be mad if his jokes are better than yours.
