Could Conor McGregor embrace his Northern roots and be our next favorite character?

A little after his second championship win, McGregor wants to venture into the entertainment industry. Known for his antics in and off the ring, a source revealed that “McGregor is set to appear in one of the two remaining seasons of Game of Thrones.”

McGregor is a close friend of actor Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, who plays The Mountain and trains with the same UFC coach as actor Liam Cunningham who plays Davos.

This isn’t the first time McGregor has tested out his acting skills. Earlier in the year McGregor was featured in the Call of Duty game “Infinite Warfare”.

Although the first UFC fighter to guest star in the series, McGregor is not the first to make a cameo. Members from bands such as Coldplay and Snow Patrol, Of Monsters and Men in its entirety, Mastodon, comedian Steve Love and D.B Weiss have all made cameos in the hit HBO show.

McGregor who is Irish has just recently won the Lightweight championship in UFC against Eddie Alvarez making him the first dual-weight UFC champion. McGregor has not only set his eyes to battle Floyd Mayweather next but appears to want to take part of a battle of a different kind.
