FASHION DESIGNER
AGES 8 - 12
Young girls graduate from playing
dress up to designing their own
fashions by using the same design
principles used by professionals.
Students will develop a portfolio
with design principles including
basic sketching techniques, coordination of colors, mixing textures
and patterns for scale, and cultural
fashion history. Designs come to
life with beautifully patterned papers, ribbons, sequins, jewels, and
oodles of other embellishments.
Collaborative “design
team” challenges make this handson adventure into the world of
design, very exciting. No sewing
necessary in this class.
