With a strong education, determination, a competitive nature,
and lots of energy, Barbara Hertzler seized every career
opportunity and took her nursing perspective to the highest
administrative levels—moving from staff nurse to Chief Nurse,
to Chief Operating Officer, and retiring as Executive Vice
President for Regional Integration of a large health system.
