Recipes
One of the best ways to get some healthy choices in a children’s diet is
through homemade popsicles. Here are some of our favorite and most
refreshing recipes.
With all of these recipes, follow the directions:
Puree all ingredients in a blender (preferably a high-speed blender) until
completely smooth. Pour into your favorite popsicle mold and freeze 3-4
hours, or until completely firm.
Green Goddess Popsicles
• 1 ripe banana
• 2-3 cups fresh baby spinach
• 1 cup frozen mango
• 1/2 cup coconut water
Strawberry Beet Popsicles
• 1 1/2 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
• 1/2 cup beets (cooked and cooled)
• 3/4 cup apple juice
• 1 tsp lemon juice or balsamic vinegar
Spinach Berry Popsicles
• 1 cup packed spinach
• 1 cup frozen mixed berries
• 1/2 banana
• 3/4 cup almond yogurt (or plain whole milk yogurt)
• 1/3 cup almond milk (or whole milk)
Peaches and Cream Popsicles
• 2 cups chopped fresh peaches
• ½ cup sugar
• 2 tbsp sugar + 1/3 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup greek yogurt
• 1 cup milk
Mango Orange Carrot Popsicles
• 1 1/2 cup diced mango (fresh or frozen)
• 1/2 cup orange juice
• You can make your own carrot juice or use 100%
carrot juice from the store
• 1/2 cup carrot juice
Limesicles
• 2 cups milk (I used 2%)
• ½ cup fresh lime juice (from about 8 to 10 small
limes)
• 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
