Good Reads
The August sermon series “ The Things We Say ...” takes a look at common sayings that are often spoken with intent to help others but result in words that hurt instead . If you ’ d like to dive deeper into the subject Half-Truths by Adam Hamilton , a United Methodist pastor serving a large congregation in Kansas or Everything Happens for a Reason and Other Lies I ’ ve Loved by Kate Bowler , a Duke Divinity professor and young mother diagnosed with stage IV cancer are helpful books to read along with the series .
Alpha is coming . Mark your calendars . We ' ll start in October . The whole congregation exploring the basics of the Christian faith together .
