Since moving to Norway in 1984,
Sereba has played an active role in
Norwegian cultural life, with both solo
projects and musical collaborations in
jazz, folk music, contemporary music
and modern African music. He has
performed hundreds of concerts for
children, youth and adults – on stages
in South Africa, China and Norway, as
well as in Greenland. And at the heart
of it all, is always the joy of music.

During the Bergen International
Festival, pop musician Silja Sol is
all set for the world premiere of the
continued story about Mikke Pus.
Her first performance for children,
Mikke Pus’ dagbok, premiered in
2017 and has since been performed
for children at festivals and schools.
Silja Sol alternates between music
and stories and brings the audience
on a journey into Mikke’s diary. Now,
he has fallen in love, and not just
with anyone: The wild cat Marie is a
clever cat, and together they go on
exciting adventures.
Supported by
Grieg Foundation Blending genres with her sincere
pop music, Silja Sol has won many
hearts. After the success of her debut
album På Hjertet in 2014, she has
followed up with critically acclaimed
performances at festivals such as Øya,
Slottsfjell and Bergenfest. In 2017 she
won a Spellemann award (a Norwegian
Grammy) for her third full-length album
Ni Liv (Nine lives).
