engaged in Beethoven’s dialogue. At best it’s
unbeatable.’
This is BBC Music Magazine’s review of the
combination of cellist Steven Isserlis and pia-
nist Robert Levin.
The Herald (Scotland) writes: ‘Levin is an asto-
unding communicator. Sometimes he says a lot;
sometimes very little. But what he does and says
is gold dust.’ He has completed some of Mozart’s
unfinished works, including his Requiem.
Grammy-nominated Isserlis is internationally
acclaimed as a soloist, chamber musician, edu-
cator and author. He has a broad repertoire and
a characteristic playing style, and champions
authentic performances of both older works
and contemporary music.
