The Grieg Foundation supports numerous cha-
ritable projects worldwide, with an emphasis on
projects that involve children and youth, medi-
cal research and the environment. The Grieg
Foundation makes an active commitment to
ensuring necessary support and progress, and
to contributing in ways that make a difference. Per Gunnar Strømberg Rasmussen/Strømberg
Gruppen joined us as Festival Ambassador in
2017. Strømberg Gruppen, like the Festival,
considers quality to be one of their core values.
Furthermore the company is concerned with
taking social responsibility, also through art
and culture.
The Bergen International Festival has been a
recurrent name when the foundation bestows
their gifts, and we are very pleased that they
wish to take part in this festival tradition in
Bergen. Their contribution supports a compre-
hensive outdoor programme that enables
people of all ages to take part in and watch
quality performances – and enjoy the festival
atmosphere. His reason for becoming Festival Ambassador,
states Rasmussen, is that he believes the
Festival is currently experiencing an exciting
development. He wishes to contribute to the
Festival fulfilling their vision of lifting the pro-
gramme locally, nationally, and across borders.
