Sexual Harassment The District prohibits any conduct or expression that may be construed as sexual harassment of a student by an employee of the District, another student, volunteers, or an outside vendor. Sexual harassment may include, but is not limited to, unwelcome sexual advances or suggestions, requests for sexual favors, and verbal or physical contacts of a sexual nature, tormenting, annoying, teasing, remarks, jokes, stories, cartoons, which have the purpose or effect of interfering with the person’s performance or creating an intimidating, offensive or hostile environment and that would not have happened but for the pupil’s gender. A violation of this provision will result in disciplinary action. Any student who believes he or she has been the subject of harassment should tell the harasser to “stop” and should promptly complain to the Building Principal or Affirmative Action Officer, TBD, as soon as possible. All complaints will be investigated.
