The most important thing when organizing your desktop

When you turn on your computer, one of the first things you’re going to see is your desktop. That’s where you access the many programs (and maybe files) on your computer.
There are so many desktop background options available. You can choose from solid colors, to stripes, to landscapes, to photos of your dog or kids. Your options are endless.
Before you decide, however, the most important thing when it comes to organizing your desktop is “being able to easily see your icons and their names.”
Let me give you an example. The tulip background below is lovely, except for the fact that it makes an already-cluttered desktop look even more cluttered.
In contrast, the much less busy blue background below the first example is decorative...while providing a much better background for your main purpose.
In summary, choose your computer backgrounds based on visibility first...and beauty second. Besides, those beautiful tulips don’t look so beautiful anymore with a ton of icons hiding them.
