Last month I wrote about the fall deco contest voting opening Oct. 1st-12th, I now have the winners! First, I want to say great work to all who entered the competition, some interesting work was submitted. The competition started with 28 deco teams, during the month of September that amount went down to 22 completed entries. Please note below, I will give who decorated each door with a brief description, each place was decorated by a team but I only have the person who signed up. The entries will be left on display until after Halloween at spot hall, link will be provided at the end of the article! Hmmm shall I make you read the whole article to find out who won? Wouldn’t that be mean! In 3rd place... Door Number 19 won, which was decorated by WyldLover and me (Mrs_AshWyld_WL). Door number 19 loaded guests in an aisle of trees leading them to the great pumpkin, after that they went down steps to a huge dance floor, with 5 different themed rooms to be viewed. In 2nd place... Door Number 10 won which was decorated by Desideuce & SugarPie. Door Number 10 loaded guests outside a haunted house, with an American Horror story theme. This one is hard to explain in words, so you must view it if you want to know! The remaining contestants that did not place are as followed… Oh you want to know who won 1st place silly me. In 1st place lucky door number 9 won which was decorated by Lindy_X and XXX_Jeff_XXX. She took home 1000 clams and her layout will be used for the Halloween bash on Oct 29th. In door number 9 guests were greeted with a very simple design. You loaded on a stone path leading to horse drawn hearse, as you go down the steps you walk into a cemetery/abandoned graveyard. What i am going to call the graveyard watchers house is found partially abandoned. By partially, i mean you don’t have to look hard for the remains of the owner! For the remaining 19 doors, they are as follows. Doors 2, 4, 5, and 20s’ main focus was on a cemetery theme, the designers are listed in order by number (ex. #2 = PPPR_Julian). PPPR_Julian’s cemetery was made hovering in the air on a 2nd floor. Mrs_Mama_L_ROTE’s went with a haunted cemetery having ghosts moving about, oddly for a cemetery very welcoming feeling to it.__Leafy__ decided to add some humor to a cemetery, with giving the tombstones funny reasons for dying. Tasha_BGF, made her cemetery right outside of hell! Guests could walk through a small portion of hell on the one side. Doors 1 and 6’s main theme was haunted forests. UBWon’s forest was in deep fog with bright pumpkins letting you know where you were. DJ_Dagan_WA’s was a witch’s backyard including a small cemetery of the witch’s victims. Doors 12, 13 and 22 featured a Maze at the entrance, which you could skip if you searched for the clickie. Ala_Natural_LOA’s maze was based on Outlook maze, even supplying people with a very close map of how to solve the maze, I must say it took me awhile to realize that is what the picture was. Alexaz’s while set up like a maze, was more of a museum type look, but told a lovely story about aliens and chocolate. DJ_VP_Irish_RDER’s maze was on the smaller side of mazes, but just as complicated as a regular one, as you navigate it you can be spooked by hidden things. Doors 3,7,15, and 16 I am calling the oddballs, as they do not fit in cemetery, forest, maze, or club themes. Joha_Decor’s was a mix of all the themes except maze. Giving guests a little bit of everything of Halloween, with a stormy sky. KillerPink_Cheri’s was a zombie apocalypse air plane crash, zombies everywhere. Mr_Balong’s was a heaven, limbo, and hell mix giving guests the layers of Dante’s inferno. Althalus’s (aka Zand) was a lava floor with heads on sticks, giving it a hell/ cemetery feel... The club themed places are doors 8, 11,14,17,18, and 21. Mike_NMD’s club was pumpkin themed, with a small maze on the side of it. DJ_NiteShade’s club went on the funny sides, with bots bringing humor to it, the Eros Island band standing on the stage. Mr_Lazlo_ROTE’s club leaned on the simple side, giving guests a smoke filled dance floor, with fire underneath. Dj_Steed’s club themed, supplied guests with a blood tunnel, cemetery, house of pain, and the Adam’s family. CrownJuvel’s club went with a gothic castle look, with a custom horse carriage made out of several different props. OOoWolfffffieoOo’s club was 2 floors, with a destroyed chapel look to it. I would like to restate each person worked with a team to make their layout, I do not have each team’s members. The descriptions are based off of my take of the layouts, please go to spot hall to form your own opinion of these awesome layouts! There are rumors and one for sure decorator that broke the rules of the contest. There was no punishment, removal of items from their layout as they were noticed to late in voting. Interested in taking part of the next deco contest, Alleria hints that there will be another one in the spring.
