Hi everyone!
I am new to this so I hope people won`t judge me too fast. I decided to try writing in a magazine since I normally write poems and songs. For my first attempt on writing I decided to talk about something that means a lot to me: families.
Will make a little comparison with families back then and families now. Back then a family was constituted of a father, a mother and several kids. They had really big families’ with as many as twelve children, and some even more. The more the years went by, the more families became smaller. Now when you have just one child people considers this to be a “big” family. When you look at families today children have more parents than there is of siblings.
In my case, I am a unique child. I have a father I never really met, I lived with my mom and have been often around my mother’s parents. My Mother got married to a man and I was forced to call him “Dad”. Because of all this I had a rough past which made me mature way too fast. At the end of all this I don’t think I am a bad person. Funny thing is even thought I barely have a family one of the things that means the most to me is family and it will always be. As for children I guess I am part of the newer families as my only child is in heaven watching over me and my husband.
As conclusion I think that no matter how big or how small a family is… it will always be called and considered a FAMILY.
