Thanksgiving Thoughts - November 26, 2015

By S. Turner

Each and every one of us is all thankful for the basic necessities in life which are food, clothing, shelter family and friends. I myself I am so thankful to wake up to see another day and for the opportunity to be a mom to one beautiful child. I wonder what everyone else, besides basic necessities, is thankful for? Could others be thankful for the job they have? Are they thankful some that that for the talents they use? Or maybe their abilities to share those talents to reach others and touch hearts. I am thankful that I will have something on my table to eat or be able to share Thanksgiving Day with my daughter. We are a small family of just two - mother and child. Unlike others it will be just the two of us but I am thankful for that. I encourage everyone to just be thankful for whatever you have because it's always all a blessing and each one of us has a reason to be thankful. I am thankful for is being able to inspire others by sharing my life stories. Happy Thanksgiving I wish everyone peace and love and a beautiful day!

History

By Apollo

The history passed from one generation to another...

The gathering of the lost members and speaking on the collection of Sundays since you've last seen each other...

The soul in which the food desires to make it complete... knowing it's so good when the chef don't eat...

The old folks telling the stories of youth... reminders of the things they used to do...

Reminders of why they no longer do things like they used to... wisdom only gained during Thanksgiving... I'm giving thanks... embracing all that I have and that I am instead of what ain’t... Today isn't about can't, maybes, or what if... it's trying to regain all the moments that have been missed... The remembrance of those who couldn't be here to witness this but whose spirits are revived when we gather like this...

We go from everyday thanks for giving to giving thanks for everyday living... Gratuity... paying it back like a life time annuity... Who knew it'd it be... all of us asking for blessing; marvelous... family time what's more precious... heads bowed for a prayer and a moment of silence...
