Reader's Digest is a BiG TiME Publisher and they use normal people's stories in their magazine too. Humor (jokes) Helpful everyday hints, product or service advertisements, etc.
All that is done in RLC reflects very much what we do or would like to do out in real life. I believe RLC can also be used for educational purposes as well as entertainment in many ways. Fantasy plays a very BiG ROLE in RLC.
Of course some like to keep it real, some don't even bother with drama but if you leave them enough space and time - they do it all anyways because of the MASK (metaphorically speaking) we all wear in RLC! LOL
