We all work hard to make ends meet, but when you’re in love you want to make sure the romance is not lost due to the budget. It is important to keep the romance alive, plan a date night at least once a month. Date night doesn't have to be expensive to be rewarding. Here are 10 fabulous budget light date night.

1. Plan a picnic - You can have a picnic in the park, at the beach even in your living room, just spread the blanket and enjoy each other’s time.

2. Turn off the electronics - One night a week, make a date with each other just by turning off all electronics. Take a bubble bath or shower together, give each other massages, or just relax in bed and talk (yes talk). You can even skip the electricity and do it by candlelight. Without the electronic distractions, you'll be able to get back in touch with the feelings that drew you to each other in the first place.

3. Take dance lessons - Get your sexy on, if all else fails you will have a good time laughing how bad you are. But this will get you close again, look for classes offered at the local community college, your parks and rec department, and neighborhood bars. Consider ballroom dancing, merengue or even square dancing. Hey you can do this instead of the gym.

4. Hike or bike - Stay active, get healthy and spend time together. Find out the great placed your area offers, explore your neighborhood. Hiking, biking, skating and other outdoor activities are fun and inexpensive.

5. Go out for dessert - A restaurant can be nice but stay home and cook a nice meal and after go out for desert. Go to your favorite place and try a different dessert each time. You'll also save a few bucks, try sharing.

6. Enjoy a nostalgia night - Stay at home, enjoy a meal nothing formal, flip through old photos, watching your wedding video or your favorite movie and talk about your life together. Your trip down memory lane is just what the doctor ordered, bring back the love that has always been there.

7. Have happy hour at home - crowded bars are just that crowded, and loud. Have a happy time at home for happy hour. Margarita mix, tequila, salt and lime or your favorite drink choice. Add some tortilla chips and salsa, and you'll be good to go.

8. Go house hunting - House hunting, not buying, this is your time to dream, what can be, look to the future. Do you want move in glamour, fixer-uppers whatever your dream house is go for it. If you can dream it view it. Price range be damned.

9. Have a little taste - Local wine bars, wineries and even liquor stores hold wine-tasting nights. Check your area if there is a company that can even come to your home with a tasting. You get to sample some terrific wine. Chocolate shops, cheese stores and other specialty shops often hold tastings, too.

10. Spend the night at a hotel - Hotel location is not important, book a room for a special getaway. No kids, no stress, just the 2 of your alone. Look for coupons and discounts, and go during the week to get the cheaper rates on a luxurious room. Romp on the big bed, order room service and sleep in each other's arms until checkout time.
