JUNIOR GALWAY
FILM FLEADH
The Junior Galway Film Fleadh an innovative
and exciting festival for young people of all ages
will take place from 9th – 12th November in
Galway’s Town Hall Theatre. Now in its 22nd
year it offers young people up to the age of 18 a
platform to become involved in film though
screenings, workshops, competitions, outreach
and other relevant activities.
Younger audiences are offered an introduction
to non-mainstream films in French, German,
Spanish and Irish language (with English
subtitles). The selected films are contemporary
with their subject matter and issues having a
specific resonance with young people.
Additionally, these films (screened in association
with the IFI) support the curriculum and further
classroom discussion is encouraged
