Today more than ever , science , technology , engineering and maths ( STEM ) subjects are integral to education and career development , no matter what industry you plan to
join . Science and technology are everywhere – from sports and fashion to farming , healthcare and communications . The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is designed to bring these subjects to life in the real world , allowing students aged 12-19 to dream , investigate , and discover new solutions to everyday problems .
Many Exhibition alumni have gone on to become successful scientists , researchers and entrepreneurs , including Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collison , whose start-up company , Stripe , has become a multi-billion dollar success story .
