LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN THE CLASSROOM.
Visual literacy:
Front cover analysis
Analyse elements of the cover designs
and comment on what makes them
effective. Consider colour, font and
images in your discussion. What is the
significance of the girl on each cover
and how important is her expression?
What other images are on each cover
and what possible connections could
they have? Ask students to predict the
content of the books based on their
covers and titles.
Ask students to design a front cover of
a time-slip book they might like to read.
