What was it about Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald that made such an impact on you?

HR: Because it’s such a tale of total human destruction, told so slowly and carefully that it’s hard to figure out when these people started falling apart. It took FSF almost a decade to write it. One of the interesting sidebar things about the book is a letter Hemingway wrote to FSF after he asked Hem’s opinion.
