Which instruments do you play? Describe your first instrument.

RM: I mess around with a bunch of instruments but it doesn't necessarily mean I’m good at them haha. I can play almost any instrument if you place it in my hands and am a quick learner but what I CAN play is piano, clarinet, violin and am trying desperately to become a master at guitar! My first instrument was the piano. I played for nine years, did shows and practiced every day. I’m super proud at how good I was at it! But then I foolishly moved from piano to take voice lessons, when I should have done both, so am getting back in the groove of it now. I love learning how to play new instruments all the time but the one that I cannot master is the drums! I have an ultra-amount of respect for ANYONE who is wild on drums, they are like… Jedi masters! Becoming gnarly on drums and playing on a stage for a band is on my bucket list for sure!

Any public performances so far?

RM: I’ve performed at my friends’ parties and that about cuts it. I’ve had offers to do shows and am always really stoked to jump at a gig but scheduling with my acting and singing sometimes become complicated or conflicts in one way or another.

I’m almost always at a party or wild get together where there are dozens upon dozens of people and because my friends really do consist of skaters and musicians, most likely there is always a stage with a whole gig set up so I love to jump on stage solo or with whoever wants to jam and well play until we can't anymore.

The last time I was on stage was in a wild looking basement in Brooklyn, New York where I got on stage and sang The Pretty Reckless, Paramore and Sleeping with Sirens for about two hours, super fun! I also sang Of mice and Men, The Color Morale and Taking Back Sunday acoustically so that was AWESOME!

What are your plans for the next 12 months, or so?

RM: For the next twelve months I will NOT sit still! Even when I sit still, I’m always working like a crazy person.

I just story boarded and wrote the music video for my song Trigger Finger and have been taking meetings with a few directors to see if they want to jump in the mix to film. That’s going extremely well and will be shot, hopefully, this October. I am putting together my band Your Wyldest Dream which was taking off in New York City but now that I’ve recently come back to California, I am in search of some awesome hard-core rock musicians who want to play shows and go to the recording studio.
