she is the strongest individual I have ever known. My brother Boman is quite the inspiration as well! He too is working so hard towards what he wants and has made so much progress in being a great director, filmmaker. He brought me to tears with a trailer he edited! Super talented, he paints and draws as well so the Modine clan really is just one big artistic group of crazy, wild people!
In the past couple months; I’ve had someone close to me become a HUGE inspiration. Through him, I’ve found that my lyrics are transitioning to a different level, not so dark but brighter which is a huge deal for me. I write pretty dark poems, stories and songs about love and heartache, but now I’ve actually written my FIRST love song that has a happy ending! The next songs I record will be originals from the last years of my life which are almost all on the darker side and of the genre I love most, hard-core rock, but recently I’ve been writing songs that are more upbeat lyrically. So get ready for a "Like Moths to Flames with a chick singer" type feel! I’m SO stoked!
Amy Winehouse, Joan Jett, Fiona Apple, Taylor Momsem, Norah Jones are a few great singers that I love and a few of my favorite bands are: Like Moths to Flames, Decoder Memphis May Fire, Pierce The Veil, Taking Back Sunday, Saosin, Vildhjarta, I the Mighty, La Dispute, Linkin Park…Like I said, to name a FEW!
