Fats & Oils R esearch shows that, as much as the total amount of fat consumed in your diet is important, it’s the types of fats that are consumed that matters the most. These ‘’fats” that are consumed can be broken into 2 categories. Category 1 which are known as good fats that actually help your heart and overall health, and category 2 which are bad fats that increase the risk of disease and elevate cholesterol. Any natural product such as seeds and nuts, avocados that has grown on a plant or in the ground is considered to be a good fat. Where as bad fats are considered processed food products or meats that comes from an animal (excluding fish).
