HIGHLIGHTS
GRAND FINALE
The year-end celebration for the second grade’s trailblazing
39 Melachos program was attended by parents and
grandparents of the talmidim, who all starred in a video
that was shown at the event. The film depicted the boys
performing all of the melachos, including some of the less-
familiar aspects of farming (related to sidura d’pas) and
weaving. The walls of the hallways were covered with the
talmidim’s original artwork depicting the melachos. The
talmidim sang beautiful Shabbos songs and each one was
presented with a copy of a beautiful, oversize, full-color
English sefer on the subject.
THE MEASURE OF
THE MISHKAN
When two fourth grade classes were studying the parshios
that describe the construction of the Mishkan, they
used a creative method to demonstrate its actual size:
themselves! Rav Eliahu Milstein’s class (pictured) modeled
the Ohel Moed on the Yeshiva’s promenade, while Rav
Shalom Rosen’s class fanned out over the baseball fields
as well as the promenade to ‘construct’ the entire Chatzeir
(courtyard) of the Mishkan.
