NMC Construction Group Annual Achievers 2016
The NMC Construction Group Achievers competition was instituted to give recognition to those who excel in their roles , going above and beyond the call of duty .
Congratulations to all nominees , from our fortnightly achievers to our quarterly achievers , for playing an integral part of the groups ’ successes for 2016 .

Individual Achiever 2016 | Gauteng Mercia Oliver
Mercia Oliver was a w a r d e d t h e Regional Individual Achiever of the Y e a r 2 0 1 6 - G a u t e n g . S h e joined the NMC Construction Group in 2015 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor .
T h e a c h i e v e r nomination was based on Mercia ’ s contribution to the Cresta Gardens project . She has shown exceptional leadership skills and performed well under pressure .

In addition to her individual achievement , Mercia continues to celebrate as she was also part of the Cresta Gardens team who were awarded , Regional Team Achievers of the Year 2016 - Gauteng .

NMC kicks off first quarter with projects valued at over R200 million
The NMC Construction Groups ’ building and civils divisions kick started the new year with exciting new projects , collectively valued at over R200 million .
Arcon Shopping Centre
This R49.5 million project was awarded by repeat client the Caveleros Construction Company . In 2015 NMC successfully completed construction on the Welkom Shopping Centre in the Free State . The scope of works on the Arcon Shopping Centre in Veereniging , comprises of the refurbishment of the existing centre .
NERSA Kulawula House Refurbishment
The NMC team in Gauteng has been awarded the refurbishment of the NERSA ( National Energy Regulator of
South Africa ) Kulawula House . The multi-storey building is located in Pretoria CBD , the R51,6 million project is scheduled for completion in 2018 .
Kontermanskloof Reservoir
This project is a joint venture between NMC Civils , a division of the NMC Construction Group and Botes & Kennedy Manyano ( BKM ). The scope of works on the R167 million project will be shared between NMC Civils and BKM .
NMC Civils is responsible for all g r o u n d w o r k s a n d p i p e l i n e installations , while BKM will manage the construction of the structure for the 100ML reservoir . On completion the reservoir will service over * 7 000 households in Tableview and surrounding areas . (* Statistics from City of Cape Town Census 2011 )

Willem Kluever was a w a r d e d t h e Regional Individual Achiever of the Year 2016 - NMC North .
W i l l e m , b e t t e r known as Willie , started his career at NMC North as a student in 2011 . He graduated from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and was employed as a Junior Site Agent in 2016 .
Willie proved himself to be a hard worker , determined to produce only the highest quality product and service . These traits were recognised by the management team who promoted him to Site Agent .
“ The drive and passion with which Willie takes on every project he is involved in is commendable . Following his promotion he has performed extremely well on his projects namely , Loeriesfontein Substation Building and Brand Ilanga Solar . He is truly an asset to the group and we are very proud to be able to award him this accolade . Congratulations and keep up the good work !” Roelof van Rooyen , Engineering Manager .

The NMC team in Namibia identified Huis Maerua as a fitting recipient for their donation of bed frames and mattresses . The items were delivered to the facility in February 2017 .
Huis Maerua , is a children ’ s home providing a safe haven for children in need . The home offers a glimmer of hope to a hopeless child . The home provides food and shelter and caters for the physical , emotional and general health needs of the children i n t h e i r c a r e . T h e f a c i l i t y accommodates twenty four children at full capacity .

The Oasis Warehouse team joined forces with Specifying Techniques , to provide a platform for suppliers to interact with multiple building industry stakeholders . sponsored by various stakeholders .
