Bead Chat Magazine Winter 2014 | Page 14

know the difference between quality work and slopped together beads. Glass is one of the more expensive mediums in bead making which makes our cost for our work higher than other mediums. I am extremely picky about my work and only my best work is ever sold. My prices reflect my time, talent, and meticulous craftsmanship. What interests do you have outside of creating? My interests outside of beadmaking lately are hooping. Hooping is pretty much dancing with a hula hoop. I enjoy attending music festivals, and raves where hooping has become a huge part of the culture. It’s funny, I have not been so passionate and excited about anything since lampworking and hooping gives me that same pleasure. There is so much freedom in a hoop. It connects your mind, body and spirit along with being great cardiovascular activity. Where can we find out more about you and your work?
