Across The Pond With Jill Unthank of JCUDesigns H ow did it all begin for jcudesigns? Like many crafters, I’ve created from an early age. My wonderful Gran taught me how to sew, bake and tried to teach me to knit (lefthandedness failure!). When first married I did cross stitch as a hobby then moved onto greetings cards and then one Christmas I got a pair of handmade earrings from a friend and thought “I fancy having a go” and hence my passion was born. I started selling to friends in 2008 then ventured online the same year. You’re a very “crafty” lady, running a greetings card business as well as your jewelry store, how do you balance your handmade life with your home life? My handmade life is my ‘chill time’.
