Iryna Shlapakova of ExclusiveCraftForYou tells us about her work and
creative journey.
I have been designing for as long as I can remember. I enjoy
making all sorts of craft whether by crocheting, cross-stitching, and sewing. My journey in bead-embroidered jewelry started nearly two years ago. I remember cross-stitching
Christmas ornaments to decorate my Christmas tree. I was
experimenting with a few beads in place of thread and I loved the finished look. I also loved the feeling of the beads.
Shortly after, I saw a Russian tutorial on how to make a fully
bead embroidered cuff bracelet. I used their techniques and
designed my first piece of jewelry. It was not before long that
I became a bead addict.
I first decided to start my business after realizing how many
of my friends adored the handmade jewelry I was wearing.
They started asking for personal orders and strongly suggested opening up my own online store. After almost a year
using Etsy, I decided to take the next step and showcase my
work to more people. My beading technique improved so
much over this time, but I still have much to learn. Most of all,
I enjoy making my jewelry and sharing it with others.
