LESLEY WATT: As a Brit who lives several thousands of miles from Philadelphia I've
spend the past few summers watching bead makers prepare for Bead Fest and jewellery makers get increasingly excited about the beads and classes they're going to
find when they visit the event.
Well not this year because I'm going to be there too thanks to the immense kindness of some of my AJE colleagues who are putting me up and showing me the
sights during my two week vacation...how excited am I!
Although I'm not officially vending Diana has very generously offered to host some
of my work in her booth so I will be bringing a small selection with me and am also
planning to have some new limited edition pieces available just for Beadfest. They're
not ready yet but there might be a little sneak preview nearer the time.
I can't wait to meet some of the friends I've made through this online beading community and if you're going I do hope you'll come and say hello...The AJE girls will
know where I am.
