Zubin Amar, Year 6 Inter-House Basketball was an amazing event, invigorating experience and a daring competition. an Photo Gallery Skilled basketball players from Years 1-8 bounced away on the basketball court, defending their House’s honour. On the 21st of February, the gym was filled with the sound of cheers from Houses. Earth’s cheering was prominent and teachers and students chanted, giving their members support. From Year 1, Earth won and the crowd went wild. After that, from Year 2, Air won. Year 3 students fought hard to win but in the end, Water triumphed. Year 4 students played a nail-biting match but Earth walked away the winner. The Year 5s had another suspenseful match but Water ends up victorious. Year 6 played a match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats but Earth has won once again. Video The Year 7-8s, who worked extremely hard for their houses, played the final match. And Fire won. In the end, with a lot of crossed fingers, Earth claimed the title of ‘Basketball Champion of Beacon Academy’. All the houses played equally well and, in conclusion, the Inter-House Basketball was one of the most riveting events of 2014. Free Clothes Day Aaryan Amar, Year 6 Beacon Press’ second fundraiser event had students coming to school in free clothes after paying a fee.
