■ David Lamelas : " A Life of Their Own " Sun ., Sept . 17 to Sun ., Dec . 10
– University Art Museum The University Art Museum has organized the first monographic exhibition in the U . S . on the Argentine-born artist David Lamelas as part of the Getty Pacific Standard Time Initiative LA / LA . The UAM exhibition showcases the extraordinary breadth of his practice — encompassing post-minimalist sculpture , photography , and video installations and films — presenting many of his key works in the U . S . for the first time .

student concerto winners in wildly virtuous and romantic repertoire .
■ Machinal by Sophie Treadwell Fri ., Oct . 13 – Sun ., Oct . 22
– University Theatre Directed by Julianne Just . Machinal is a 1928 play by American playwright and journalist Sophie Treadwell , inspired by the real-life case of convicted and executed murderer Ruth Snyder . Its Broadway premiere , directed by Arthur Hopkins , is considered one of the highpoints of Expressionist theatre on the American stage .

– USU Sunset Lounge – Free A job fair provides an opportunity for students to meet with a large number of employers , in one setting , who are specifically seeking CSULB students for the purpose of employment .
Companies may have entry-level ( or higher ) career openings , part-time positions and / or paid and volunteer internships . Be prepared to make a good first impression and prove that you ’ ve researched the employers of interest . Dress appropriately and bring copies of your resume .

Bird /$ 100 General ( after 9 / 18 ) In its fifth year , A Toast to Women ’ s Athletics is a premier event focused on fundraising specifically for LBSU Athletics women ’ s programs . Upon being greeted by studentathletes , guests are welcome to mingle with coaches and staff while enjoying the multiple wine tasting stations , heavy hors d ’ oeuvres , a silent auction , entertainment , and art . ■ Class of 1967 50th Reunion & Golden Graduates Celebration Friday , Nov 3 , 4 p . m .
Take a trip back to the campus you knew as California State College at Long Beach and reconnect with friends , class- mates , faculty , and staff from 1950-1967 . The evening will include a memorabilia reception , a group photo , and dinner as we induct the class of 1967 into the Golden Graduates Society . On Saturday , Nov . 4 , enjoy Homecoming and participate in an exclusive tour of campus and the Japanese Garden .
Trish Reynolds Miss Cal State Long Beach
Keynote Speaker Trish ( Reynolds ) Farber is class of ’ 67 Miss Cal State Long Beach and ’ 66 Homecoming Queen . She was a member of Tri Delta Sorority , University A Capella Choir , the Cheerleading team , and is a 5- time alumna . Trish was an active leader on campus , and represented CSCLB with integrity , academic excellence , and 49er pride .

■ Handcrafted Hospitality : Dine With A Purpose Fri ., Oct . 20 , 5 p . m .
– Chartroom Restaurant , CSULB – $ 175 per ticket or
$ 1500 per table of 10 seats Handcrafted Hospitality is a beer and food pairing dinner in support of the Hospitality Management Program at CSULB . Students in the Hospitality Management Program will coordinate and execute the event as well as create and cook the first course .
