“ I had some struggles early in my high school career. I came here to Community High and everything changed. I am so grateful for the support of the teachers and staff. It’s always been a life dream to join the Marines, but I didn’t know if I could do it. I’m proud to say I will begin training in September. This school has helped me find my confidence. I know our teachers want us to achieve our dreams and will help us in any way they can. My advice to rising seniors is don’t give 100 percent; give 1,000 percent. It’s worth it in the end. “ B rent O wens Community High School “ Academically, I wanted to aim as high as I could and to challenge myself. Sometimes I challenged myself a little too much with classes [while also working], but with a little push in effort, I made it. High school was not at all what you see in the movies, but I would not change my high school experience for anything. The memories and friends I made at T.C. Roberson are a precious part of my life that I intend to keep with me. Next year, I’m looking forward to attending A-B Tech. “ B renda V aza C ampuzano T.C. Roberson High School “ I have been more than blessed when it comes to my education and experience as a student. North Buncombe High School has become a second home to me. Because of my time here, the students and faculty have become just like a family. The teachers have done more than enough to help me prepare for my college experience and are like friends to me. As I go off to college next year, and in the years to come, I will never forget where I grew up and what I experienced. I am proud to call North Buncombe my home.
