Tasty Lessons in Science By Stacia Harris, Communications Department The smell of warm chocolate filled Ms. Wolf’s class as her fifth-graders at Bell Elementary learned about heat conduction and convection- new concepts and a new vocabulary for these students. But, thanks to a creative lesson, it’s one they won’t soon forget. “I like the smell,” said Kamille McGee. “I like to see which way the heat traveled; it was just fun!” For this experiment, students built a tin foil bridge suspended over a votive candle. They lined the foil with chocolate chips. Then, students placed a votive candle under
