Despite monumental strides for LGBTQ rights over the last 10 years , the current environment may present challenges for LGBTQ people and their families . What does it means to be an ally to and an advocate for the LGBTQ community during this time ? What power do you have as an ally or LGBTQ Jewish young person , and how might you exercise leadership on LGBTQ issues within your secular and Jewish communities ? Remembering the Holocaust : A Survivor ’ s Story , Reunion A Gabriella Karin is a dedicated Holocaust educator and a renowned artist . After surviving the Shoah , Gabriella has dedicated much of her time to educating young people in schools , at the LA Museum of the Holocaust , and the Museum of Tolerance . Outside of her Holocaust education work , Gabriella is an artist and sculptor . Gabriella lives in LA , has been on the March of the Living several times , and was an honored guest at BBYO Kallah ’ s Shabbat to Remember in 2015 and 2016 .
