Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area she moved to the west coast two years ago to pursue her dream as an actress.  “I'm definitely an east coast suburbs girl,” she says. "There's something about, growing up in the suburbs of the Nation's capital that gives you this edgy firecracker spirit.  You grow up surrounded by politicians, lawyers, people of power, the leaders of our nation. I definitely learned from my community at an early age how to go after what I want and take action, which has truly pushed my career here in Los Angeles.”

Lauren is a product of the district’s foster care system and was adopted as an infant by her mother, Jacqueline Mapp. Her story is no traditional journey. Her life began prematurely, just five months into her biological mother's pregnancy.  Prior to turning three months old she had tackled numerous obstacles that's pertain to basic skills such as digesting food and learning how to breathe. As a premee Lauren's life has always been an adventurous journey of strength.  By nature, she embraces challenges and changes standards.

Lauren exhibited charisma and has inherited many talents which came forth over the course of time.  I had learned, at age six, Lauren took an ice skating class where she was immediately bumped up two levels due to genuine talents displayed. Lauren as a youth excelled in sports, dance, equestrian, karate, art and dramatizations. As a former track and field Division1 NCAA collegiate athlete, she is no stranger to the hustle and bustle to working and training hard. As Lauren trains and studies her craft to become the next Lara Croft, she takes pride in healthy eating and working out.

African American actresses like Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson inspire Miss Mosley to rise with her generation of actors to redefine entertainment. Growing up in a law enforcement home, she gravitates to high action, intense dramas and gripping entertainment. She is currently studying martial arts and stunts as a part of her preparation. “Training is absolutely vital in my career, I grew up in a household were education is key. I look at the some of the greatest actresses and how they honed in on their craft. It is my desire to do likewise and leave an imprint in history.”
