The Cover Story Interview with Steven Vitali

Vitali

Tell me how you feel about water and nature?

Farahri

I’m a Pisces, which means I’m emotional, intuitive, creative, spiritual and feel at home in/near water. Being in water or around water truly calms me and I recently moved to a place where I have a full view of the lake. Just seeing that everyday re-energizes and reconnects me to nature and what life is really about. I run by the water, write and meditate by the water too. The vastness of it all puts little problems into perspective. Whenever I need a time out I go for a walk and bask in the beauty and authenticity of nature especially to remind me of my creator and the creator in me. I strongly feel everyone should connect with nature somehow every single day to remember what ‘alive’ really is.

Vitali

Farahri, so tell me when did all this start happening for you. Recording music, the videos? When did you first pick up the microphone and start singing?

Farahri

I started singing when I was really young and always wanted to do it as a career but because it was discouraged as more than a hobby, I focused on school. After university (a degree in physiotherapy), I finally decided to move to Toronto to pursue music on my own. Within a year or so I met my manager, Roy Robinson and that’s when he got me recording songs, shooting music videos and performing. That’s when Farahri was born!

Vitali

Is your family musical?

Farahri

My dad and grandmother both used to sing for our religious community events and that’s when I first remember hearing live singing. My dad and older sister had a lot of tapes, cd’s and records and loved listening to all types of music, which was really cool and totally influenced me to be a diverse music fan. My brother and I took piano lessons as kids and he’s gone on to learn guitar as a hobby but other than that my family wasn’t particularly musical.

Vitali

Off the topic of music tell our thousands of Bay Life Living Readers what your favorite food is? And why?

Farahri

I’m struggling with this one because my first instinct is to say pizza lol! But that’s my answer when I’m hungry and craving carbs and cheese. I actually have a palate for very healthy food most of the time. I really really like fruits; mangoes, passion fruit, pomegranate, berries ect! If I had to eat one food group forever and that’s all I could have, it would be all kinds of amazing fruit! I love the sweet, fresh and healthy taste to it. It might sound weird but I feel like fruits are the food of the sun.

I just feel a lot of life energy when I eat them.
