Rob, tell me what Apres skiing means to you?

Well Steven, as you know, we are open until 9pm. What Mount St. Louis Moonstone offers is the time to sit together as a group. Or, as a family. Whomever you are skiing with its nice to take the time to talk about the highlights of the day. It is a time to unwind and then when you go home, you have a nice supper. After being outside in the fresh air all day, it is a great feeling.

Rob, in your mind, what sets you a part from other ski resorts in Ontario? And I know I can answer that for me because I have been a member at Mount St. Louis Moonstone and I find that you guys are very family orientated and I have seen how you have interacted with the skiers and the people here. The fact that it is very warm and welcoming is a huge deal to me. What do you feel sets you a part?

What you just said, Steven is key. We pride ourselves on the warm welcoming feeling. And a couple things that set us a part from other resorts is where are location is. We are very easy to get to and we are in the Snow-belt which is why we are very proud of having some of the best conditions in Ontario, along with all the equipment we have. As you know, we have lots of lifts, and even on a busy day you feel like you are constantly moving. Which means you are not standing around. Also, the terrain, Steven, is challenging enough that you feel like you are getting better. I had a good day and I want to come back and do it again.

Now, as we are approaching a new year, 2016, what is new and exciting happening here at Mount St. Louis Moonstone?
Rob
Last year was a big year. It was our 50th anniversary. So, last year we had our first year with night skiing. That was something very, very, new for the first year. Again, this year, we are going to continue with night skiing for our 51st year. Our night skiing is from Wednesday to Sunday, 5 nights of awesome night skiing, and we are going to continue this year with our night skiing. Skiing on these days, Steven, goes from 9 - until 9pm.

This is awesome. I will have to take advantage of this.

The night skiing has really been hugely successful. The lights that we put in, were LED that are very efficient and there are no shadows. I guess you can say we are sort of setting the standard in the industry when it comes to night skiing. This summer, we even added a few more lights on the hills to even go further in lighting up the hills, here at Mount St. Louis Moonstone.

I keep on thinking of how families really need to get back at making this a part of there agenda, there outings. I feel that every weekend should be a family weekend here at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. I remember growing up in Toronto even at the age of 14 and 15 years of age I would take the subway to Yonge and Lawrence and hop on that big Grey Hound to your awesome ski resort. It was something I looked forward to every weekend. I think one year I skied 54 times. How do you feel about that?

Yes, Steven, we have over 1200 kids on weekends with there families on weekends for lesson programs. Mount St. Louis Moonstone is a very family orientated operation. You will see families from all over. We are a very multi cultural ski operation. We see all types of people here.

Rob, tell me about the memberships here?
Rob
We have over 9,000 memberships. If you are committed, and know you are going to do a lot of skiing, the most economical way to ski, is to get membership. We have many membership options.
