The Emperor 5 Standard Fretless
was designed from the ground up
to combine stunning fretless tone
with the legendary playability
and pro-player reliability that you
expect from Fodera.
The E5SF features a Walnut-AshWalnut body, Ebony fingerboard,
and quartersawn, one-piece
Red Oak neck. The result is a
warm and smooth, yet beautifully
articulate fretless tone. Red
Oak, being a strong but fairly
porous wood, has many tiny air
pockets that act as “resonating
chambers,” enhancing the “growl”
of the instrument. Round it out
with our proprietary Fodera Dual
Coil Pickups and Fodera / Pope
Standard 3-Band Preamp and
