PREPERATION

For Letsibogo Dam

End of August 2012… Men screaming like little girls… Super-sized large mouth bass being landed left right and centre. What a great trip it turned out to be when a group of us descended on Letsibogo Dam outside Selebi-Phikwe at what seemed to perfect timing for giant fish.

We got stuck into the 4kg+ models at regular intervals and for us lesser mortals we bared witness to the bigguns of Nico Mathee that weighed in at 6,06kg and 7,03kg.

This venue is just absolutely teaming with “ABNORMAL LOAD” large mouth bass, and don’t forget the scenery! What an absolutely stunning place to be enjoying our favourite past time and to unwind from the hustle bustle of the chaos that be in the big smoke.

What do you need to do, or not do? What do you need to say, or not say? Where to stay when you are up there, where to eat? The list just goes on.

First let’s take a breather and clear our minds… Other than their urban area’s being far more sparse, and that they work with a currency called PULA, Botswana is not very different from S.A.

If you follow these few steps and guidelines you can at
