A Note from the Editor...

Fish are moving into pre-spawn, days are starting to get warmer… not long now and we are back into the full swing of summer.

We kick off this month’s Bass Digest with Brent Webber reminiscing on a 2012 visit to Letsibogo dam. In this article Brent gives as a few do’s and dont’s when travelling or making plans to fish in Botswana.

Elandi-Marie Botha recalls the events leading up to her very first ever win at an inter-club tournament, after which Graham Weakley helps us break the ice with his “Winter” Wondering at Rhenosterkop.

We also catch up with SABAA nationals angler Freddie Steyn to find out what makes him tick, and then Jacques Cooper puts the Eastern Cape on the map, by sharing some fantastic information regarding various bass angling venues.

Fran Myers take us through his preparation for his trip to S.A. in August.

Last but not least… Tristan Wood shares his HitchHiker Rig design with us in our Top Tip section.

Warmest Regards,

ED
