- Fed by the Klipdrif river and holds largemouth bass. Capacity is unknown

- Situated 36km outsideHumansdorp and about 130 km from Port Elizabeth

- Water clarity ranges from clean to off colour

- Access to the dam is through the farm and there is good camping and ablution facilities

- Launch fees are applicable

- You should be able to launch with a normal 4x2

- Fishing pressure is not that hard on the dam with me fishing their on a few occasions and being the only person on the water

- Structure: fallen timber, rocky walls, dam walls with rip raps and timber fields

- Best fishing times is season dependant but good fishing is to be had the whole day

- Depending on the wind this is a good top water, cranking or spinner-bait fishery, all depends on your style of fishing, again I love pitching this dam with speed craws and worms

- As for crime, being so far from civilisation we have yet to pick up any problems here

- Biggest bass caught to date is a 4,6kg

As for the biggest fish in our dams I can’t confirm sizes but have heard of fish over 4 kg, with us getting fish in the 1,5 – 2, 5 kg on a regular basis.

I hope this helps the visitor to our area with some basic info. If you should be interested in what is
