ITH 201 Thai Language for Foreigners III (3 credits) Prerequisite: ITH 102 or Dean’s Approval A study of the intermediate language structure, grammar, vocabulary, and idioms; practice in the reading of short Thai passages, writing practice of simple and complex sentences. ITH 202 Thai Language for Foreigners IV (3 credits) ITG 101 Tagalog Language and Filipino Culture I (3 credits) Prerequisite: ITH 201 or Dean’s Approval An advanced study of the Thai Language structure, grammar, vocabulary, and idioms including listening, speaking, reading and writing letters and essays and an introduction to translation. An introduction to Tagalog language with the emphasis on comprehension of the language and appreciation of the Filipino culture, leading to the ability to function effectively at a basic level. ITG 102 Tagalog Language and Filipino Culture I (3 credits) Prerequisite: ITG 101 A continuation of ITG 101 whereby students study the language and culture and practice intermediate listening, speaking, reading and writing. IVN 101 Vietnamese Language and Culture I (3 credits) An introduction to the Vietnamese language with the emphasis on comprehension of the language and appreciation of the Vietnamese culture, leading to the ability to function effectively at a basic level. IVN 102 Vietnamese Language and Culture II (3 credits) Prerequisite: IVN 101 A continuation of IVN 101 whereby students study the language and culture and practice intermediate listening, speaking, reading and writing. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IIT 201 Computer and Information Technology (3 credits) An introduction to the computer: hardware and software systems, a study of computer applications, information presentation, computer networks, electronic mail, the influence of computers on society and the future of computerization. Extensive hands-on experiences with a broad range of computer applications will be emphasized. LAW ILA 101 Jurisprudence (3 credits) A study of the origins and nature of law, the classification of law, the use and abolition of law, the principles of law formation of contracts and obligations. ILA 102 Business Law (3 credits) A study of the establishment, authority, functions, management and dissolution of a partnership and corporation; the principles of law concerning sale and bills. ILA 301 Taxation (3 credits) A study of the principles of taxation as provided in the Revenue Code; the principles of tax estimation and taxation revenues, stamps, and other commercial taxes and revenues.
