A Victorian Silhouette offers a behind-the-scenes look at
the work of Sovereign Hill’s costume department, as well as
original 19th Century costumes and accessories from the
Gold Museum collection.
Bonnet-makers demonstration:
Watch bonnet-makers in action as they re-create elegant
headwear from the Victorian era.

PANEL DISCUSSION
Join a panel discussion with Sovereign Hill’s Costume Department to find out how
they create the ‘Victorian Silhouette’. You will also have a chance to try a crinoline (a
structured petticoat) and experience what it was like to be a Victorian woman in the
19th century.

‘HANKIES AND THEIR STORIES’ EXHIBITION
A showcase of handkerchiefs from the hankie lovers in our community. Handkerchiefs
will be on display along with their stories of how they were acquired, loved and the
journeys they have had.
