BALLARAT SYNAGOGUE TALK AND TOUR
The Ballarat Synagogue is the oldest synagogue on the mainland of Australia. Come
along for a talk about the 160 year history of the synagogue, featuring some of the
people, characters (and some Ballarat Jewish urban myths!) who have been part of our
congregation, and major contributors to the Ballarat community.

BALLARAT FIRE STATION HISTORICAL
EXHIBITION AND TOURS
Ballarat’s oldest fire station still sits on its original site.
Visit to view the extensive display of historical photographs,
uniforms, equipment and trophies dating back to 1856.
A restored 1938 Dodge Pumper will also be on display and
available for photographs. Tours include climbing to the top
of the 1864 bell tower.

BALLARAT MURDER BUS TOUR
One of last year’s most popular tours has returned in 2018. Join Eerie Tours on a
45-minute bus tour through Ballarat, stopping to visit some of the goldrush-period’s
more well-known murder locations. Learn about how these disturbing incidences
unfolded and how they impacted the community at the time. Limited capacity. Ages
16+. Not for the fainthearted.
